Leonard Raskin

If not conducting a meeting, teaching a class or in flight to a speaking engagement, Leonard can most likely be found in his office in Hunt Valley, Maryland. Here you will often find him reading up on the latest tax law change, economic modeling technique, devouring the intricacies of an estate plan or skillfully determining the best strategy to create a more fluid and effective financial model for someone.

An avid sports enthusiast, you might otherwise find Leonard at a local seasonal sporting event: Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens or Washington Capitals (ice hockey’s his favorite).

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, he now lives just 20 minutes from his childhood home. Leonard married Kathy (Uhlan) in February 1994. Kathy, originally from Rising Sun, Maryland, is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). They currently reside in Phoenix, Maryland with their son, Matthew Robert, born in April 2002.

A graduate of the University of Baltimore in 1986, Leonard earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance while working his way through college. In 2007 Leonard earned his Masters in Financial Services from The American College. Also in 2007 he achieved his CFP®, CAP, ChFC, CLU, CASL designations.

He began his career in January 1987. He was named Vice President of Integrated Financial Planning, Inc., in January 1993. In December 1999, Leonard and his partner, Kelli Dial, established Wealth Advocacy Partners. In 2011 no longer having partners in the ownership of the company and to forge a new direction Leonard created Raskin Global.
