If not meeting with a client or engaging in financial industry education, Marty can be found in our Sparks office. This is where he keeps in touch with his clients, reaches out to new people to help and studies the latest nuances of the financial services world to ensure clients’ strategies are up to date and working as planned.
Born and raised in upstate New York, Marty moved to Baltimore in 1995. He now lives in the Hunt Valley area with his wife, Beth, and their two children. Marty is a huge sports enthusiast and loves to play basketball and golf. He especially loves college athletics and is particularly passionate for The University of Notre Dame. Although he has no direct affiliation with Notre Dame, he has traveled to campus and games dozens of times and considers himself a subway alum!
While working his way through college, Marty earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Management from Siena College.
After spending several years in the medical device field, Marty took his talents and experience to Wall Street. Over the span of 10 years Marty worked in the institutional equity business. There he gained a deep knowledge of the equity markets, directly dealing with large institutional accounts including mutual funds, pension funds, and hedge funds. His experience in both the fundamental and quantitative side of the business gives him a deep understanding of portfolio construction, asset allocation, and risk tolerance management.
Marty chose to bring his Wall Street experience to Raskin Global in 2010. He was drawn to the firm as a result of congruence with Raskin Global’ core philosophies. His passion for and conviction in the process and strategies he assists people with, ring true when they meet him and work together.
